The V-Combo VR-09-B is a 61-note keyboard built around three sound engines: Virtual Tone Wheel Organ, SuperNATURAL Synth and PCM Synth. The front panel is split into dedicated organ, piano and synth sections, with harmonic bars, five sliders and six effects knobs for real-time tone shaping. It holds 245 sounds and 100 registrations, and supports dual and split modes.
Seven effects run at once: overdrive, tone, compressor, multi-effects (20 types), delay (6 types), reverb (6 types) and rotary (3 types). Built-in tools include 52 rhythm patterns, a 20-second stereo looper, an SMF and audio file player, and USB audio recording and playback. Extra sounds can be downloaded from the maker's Axial library, and a free VR-09 Editor app for iPad edits the organ and synth engines.
The unit weighs 5.5 kg and runs from an AC adaptor or eight rechargeable Ni-MH AA batteries. It connects through stereo line outputs, headphone and external input jacks, pedal jacks, MIDI IN/OUT, USB computer and USB memory ports.
