The TD-30KV is a complete electronic drum set centred on the TD-30 sound module. SuperNATURAL sounds with Behavior Modeling are meant to follow playing detail such as rim shots, rolls, flams, snare ghost notes, crash hits and cymbal swells. A dedicated Ambience fader controls room ambience and overhead-microphone simulation, and a V-Edit mode allows sounds to be customised.
The kit includes a 14-inch KD-140-BC kick pad, mesh-head V-Pads with new rim sensors (snare pad that mounts on a snare stand, tom pads that can be dual-mounted), a VH-13-MG V-Hi-Hat with an improved motion sensor, and metallic-gray CY-14C-MG crash and CY-15R-MG ride cymbals. The pads and kick have exchangeable black-chrome shell wraps, with optional blue or red wraps available. The MDS-25 chrome drum stand is listed in the configuration as sold separately.
For connectivity, the module has a USB memory port for data backup and WAV/MP3 audio playback, plus a separate USB-MIDI port for connecting a computer. Four extra trigger input jacks (AUX1–AUX4) allow additional pads to be added. Kick pedal, snare stand, hi-hat stand and throne are not included.
