The RP102 is an upright-style digital piano built around SuperNATURAL piano sound and an 88-key PHA-4 Standard keyboard with escapement and Ivory Feel keytops. It has 128-voice polyphony, four piano tones and eleven other tones. Piano-specific resonance effects (damper, string and key-off) are always on. Twin Piano mode splits the keyboard into two 44-note halves, each with its own middle C, so a teacher and student can play side by side.
Three pedals (damper with half-pedal detection, soft and sostenuto) are built into the stand. Practice tools include a metronome with variable time signatures and an internal library of songs, including listening pieces, piano masterpieces, easy piano, Czerny etudes, Hanon exercises and scales. The panel is kept simple: power, volume and basic functions. Further settings are reached from the app.
Bluetooth (version 4.0, availability depends on the country of purchase) links the piano to the free Piano Partner 2 app on iOS and Android for MIDI and sheet-music page turning. The app shows notation, mutes either hand part, adjusts tempo, offers backing rhythms and lets two sounds be layered. A USB Type B computer port and two headphone jacks (which can also serve as outputs) cover wired connections.
