The RP-301R is a stage-style digital piano with an 88-key Ivory Feel-G keyboard featuring Progressive Hammer Action with Escapement. Its sound comes from the SuperNATURAL Piano engine with 88-key stereo multisampling, supported by string, damper and key-off resonance. A further 53 tones are available, and the generator supports up to 128 voices of polyphony.
A full-keyboard chord recognition engine follows what the player performs and drives one of 60 rhythm accompaniments across 11 genres, each with intro, ending, variation and fill patterns. Three playing modes are offered: Pianist, Split Chord and Split Tone. Additional rhythms can be loaded from USB memory. Practice tools include Twin Piano, a metronome, a three-track MIDI recorder, 189 internal songs and playback of SMF and WAV files from USB memory.
It has two 12 W speakers, two headphone jacks, stereo line outputs, an audio input, MIDI In/Out and USB Computer and USB Memory ports. A custom LCD shows song, tone and rhythm names, and the unit is supplied with its stand, three-pedal unit and music rest.
