The RP-301 is an entry-level 88-key digital piano with a hammer-action keyboard and built-in speakers, aimed at students and hobbyists. It includes a metronome, recorder and Twin Piano mode for practice and lessons.

The RP-301 is a compact digital piano built around a piano sound engine that models how a concert grand responds to key velocity, note decay and key range. It offers 128-voice polyphony and 30 tones. Piano tones include always-on string, damper and key-off resonance. The 88-key keyboard uses a progressive hammer action with escapement.
Practice tools include a metronome with a range of time signatures, a one-track recorder and an internal song library of 189 songs. Twin Piano mode splits the keyboard into two sections covering the same octaves, so a teacher and student can play side by side. The left and right pedals can then act as damper pedals for each half. Controls sit on the front panel, and a 3-character LED display shows settings.
On the back and sides, the piano has two headphone jacks, stereo line outputs, a stereo mini-jack input for playing along with an audio player, and MIDI In/Out. Two 12 cm speakers are built in. The piano is supplied with a music rest and a headphone hook, and it comes in Satin Black or Simulated Rosewood finishes.
