R-26
The R-26 is a portable six-channel recorder with built-in omnidirectional and directional stereo microphones, two XLR/TRS combo inputs and a stereo plug-in power mic input. It suits musicians, engineers, sound designers and field or event recordists who want several stereo sources captured at once.

The R-26 records up to six channels at the same time, arranged as three stereo pairs. It has two built-in stereo microphones, one omnidirectional and one directional, which can be used together or alongside external sources. This makes it possible to take a stereo mix from a mixing desk through the XLR inputs while the built-in mics pick up the room, then choose between the individual tracks or composite mixes afterwards.
Analog inputs 1/L and 2/R are XLR/TRS combo sockets with 48 V phantom power, and there is a separate stereo mini-jack input for plug-in powered mics. Large input-level knobs allow fine adjustment, and a 160 x 160 dot touchscreen is used for menus, microphone settings and waveform editing. Recording is to SD/SDHC cards in WAV/BWF up to 24-bit/96 kHz, MP3, or WAV plus MP3.
A Hi-Speed USB mini-B port lets the unit work as an audio interface or as external storage for a computer. A loop-back function, available only in audio interface mode, can be combined with the built-in or external mics for live video streaming. Power comes from an AC adaptor or four AA batteries.
