The KC-880 is a portable stereo amplifier built around keyboards but also suited to vocals, guitars, drum machines and other electronic instruments. It delivers 320 W in total (160 W per side) through two 12-inch woofers and two horn tweeters, and the full-range stereo design is meant to carry a whole band from one cabinet.
On board are DSP effects: stereo chorus derived from Roland's JC-series amps, tremolo and rotary effects for keyboards, and a stereo reverb. Each of the four main channels has its own volume and effects button, and a three-band equalizer (low, middle, high) shapes the overall sound. The first channel takes either an XLR microphone or a line signal.
Connections include 1/4-inch jacks on the channel inputs, three auxiliary inputs (1/4-inch, RCA and stereo mini), a headphone output, balanced XLR and 1/4-inch line outputs, and a footswitch jack. A Stereo Link function lets several KC amplifiers be chained together to form a portable PA system for small and medium venues.
