JX-03
The JX-03 is a limited-edition 4-voice synthesizer sound module in Roland's Boutique line, modelled on the JX-3P. It puts all 24 knobs of the PG-200 programmer on the front panel and suits producers who want a portable, hands-on synth.

The JX-03 recreates the JX-3P sound engine and the panel layout of the PG-200 programmer, so every parameter has its own knob. It adds extra waveforms for the LFO and both DCOs, an extended DCO range and more cross modulation options for DCO-2. Two ribbon controllers handle pitch bend, modulation and sound preview, and a 16-step sequencer works without a keyboard.
Two JX-03 units can be linked over MIDI in chain mode to act as one 8-voice synth, with each extra module adding 4 voices. The module has a metal front panel, a built-in 0.5 W mini-speaker and can be slotted into the optional K-25m 25-key keyboard unit.
It runs on four AA batteries or USB bus power. The micro-USB port carries MIDI and a 24-bit / 44.1 kHz stereo audio interface for recording into a DAW, and also supports backup of patches and sequencer patterns. Stereo mini-jack input, output and headphone connections and MIDI IN/OUT are provided.
