The HD-1 is a small electronic drum set built around one stand that carries most of the components, so assembly is quick and the kit can be moved easily. A redesigned kick beater, cushioned tom pads and a quieter snare head keep acoustic noise low, and the output level can be set with the volume knob or by playing through headphones.
The kit has a hi-hat with pedal, snare, three toms, crash and ride, plus a kick pedal. It stores 10 drum kits and 10 patterns, with five Drum Kit buttons and a Variation button for switching between them. A built-in metronome offers three sounds, three volume levels and a tempo range of 40 to 220.
A Mix In jack accepts a CD player, iPod or similar source so the player can drum along with songs and balance the music against the playing. Sound goes out through a stereo mini output or headphone jack, and a 5-pin MIDI Out connector is provided. Power comes from an included AC adaptor.
