Description

The GR-D is a V-Guitar distortion pedal built around GK processing. A 13-pin GK input receives six separate string signals, so distortion is applied to each string on its own rather than to a mixed mono signal. Four sound types are available: VG-DIST 1, VG-DIST 2, POLY DIST and SYNTH, the last being an analog synth-style voice driven by string vibration instead of an oscillator. DSP runs in real time.

Tone is shaped with GAIN, COLOR and TONE knobs, plus a LEVEL knob and a TYPE knob for choosing the sound. Four memories store favourite settings and can be recalled from the control switches on a GK-equipped guitar. One of the two footswitches triggers a Solo function that raises volume and presence for lead lines.

For rig integration there is a dual MIX/GUITAR INPUT, mono/stereo OUTPUT jacks and a separate GUITAR OUTPUT that passes the normal pickup sound without GK processing. The GK output also carries the regular pickup signal. Power comes from six AA batteries or an optional PSA-series adaptor.
