Description

The GP-9 is a digital grand piano with a lid that can be set to different heights and a fallboard-type key cover. Its sound engine models an acoustic grand with built-in ambience, offers unlimited polyphony for piano tones, and includes 324 tones. Piano Designer settings allow adjustment of string tuning, duplex scale, cabinet resonance and other characteristics.

The keyboard has 88 hammer-action keys with escapement, hybrid wood/molded construction, Ivory Feel surfaces, acceleration sensing and haptic key vibration. Damper, soft and sostenuto pedals are included, with continuous detection on damper and soft. Sound comes from an eight-speaker system with a dedicated centre channel, and two headphone jacks are fitted.

Bluetooth audio and Bluetooth MIDI are built in, and USB ports connect to a computer or flash drive. The Roland Piano App provides remote control, recording, scores and lesson features. A metronome, recorder, Twin Piano mode and 394 internal songs support practice. It is available in ebony and polished white.
