The FP-90X is the top model of the FP-X portable piano series. It uses a PureAcoustic Piano Modeling engine with eight ready-to-play Concert and Stage piano variations, and a Piano Designer for adjusting parameters such as lid, string resonance, damper noise and single-note tuning. PureAcoustic Ambience offers six room types, and My Stage provides 12 types.
The PHA-50 keyboard combines wood and plastic, with escapement and ebony/ivory feel across 88 keys. Sound comes from a four-speaker system with two 25 W main speakers and two 5 W dome tweeters, and Headphones Acoustic Projection gives a more spacious sound over headphones. Beyond pianos there are E.Piano, organ, strings/pad and synth/other tones, plus 34 internal songs, a three-part MIDI recorder, split, dual and twin piano modes.
Connections include Bluetooth audio and Bluetooth MIDI, USB computer and USB memory ports, MIDI In/Out, line outputs, a stereo input and a mic input with compressor, doubling and echo. Two headphone jacks allow side-by-side playing. Optional KSC-90 stand and KPD-90 pedal unit give an upright setup, while the KS-20X stand and RPU-3 pedal unit suit portable use.
