The FP-60X is the midrange model in Roland's FP-X series. It combines a SuperNATURAL piano sound engine with a PHA-4 Standard keyboard that has escapement and ivory-feel keys. Piano Designer lets the player adjust elements such as lid position, resonances and single-note tuning, volume and character. A 3-band equalizer, ambience effects and eight My Stage presets pair piano tones with room types.
Beyond acoustic pianos, the instrument offers electric pianos, organs, strings and a large group of synth and other sounds, including drum sets. Built-in 13 W x 2 speakers cover practice and small venues. Headphones 3D Ambience adds a spatial sound field for private playing, and two headphone jacks allow teacher and student to play together. A mic input with compressor, doubling and echo effects supports singing along.
For connections, the piano has Bluetooth audio and Bluetooth MIDI, USB Computer and USB Memory ports, and line outputs and a stereo input. An onboard recorder saves MIDI or audio to a USB flash drive. Optional stands and pedal units allow either a furniture-style or portable setup. It comes in black or white.
