The FP-60 is an 88-key digital piano built around a SuperNATURAL piano sound engine with 288-note maximum polyphony. Its PHA-4 Standard keyboard has escapement and Ivory Feel key surfaces, with 100 key touch types or a fixed touch. Sounds are grouped into piano, electric piano, strings, organ and pad categories plus a larger set of other tones that includes 8 drum sets and one SFX set. Whole, Dual and Split keyboard modes are available.
Piano Designer lets the player shape the character of four piano tones, adjusting lid, string, damper and key-off resonance as well as single-note tuning, volume and character. Other tools include a 3-band equalizer, ambience, rotary speaker effect for organ tones, ten selectable temperaments, 30 registrations, a metronome and transpose. Two built-in 13 W speakers handle playback, and headphones can use 3D Ambience.
Bluetooth carries audio (Ver. 3.0) and MIDI or sheet-turning data (Ver. 4.0), working with the Piano Partner 2 and Piano Designer apps. A USB Memory port plays and records WAV audio and plays MP3 files; the internal recorder saves Standard MIDI Files. Rear connectors cover stereo outputs, a stereo input, pedal jacks, two headphone jacks and USB to computer.
