The FP-30X is a slim portable digital piano built around the PHA-4 Standard keyboard, which has 88 full-size keys with escapement and ivory feel. Sound comes from the SuperNATURAL Piano engine with 256-voice maximum polyphony. Tones are split into 12 piano, 20 electric piano and 24 other sounds, and the piano also holds 30 internal songs.
Playing functions include a metronome, transpose, dual and split modes, a twin piano mode, and a recorder that stores a three-part MIDI performance or records audio to a USB flash drive. A dedicated setting adjusts the sound when the piano sits on a desktop. Two headphone jacks allow silent practice for two players, and onboard stereo speakers cover room use. Output jacks connect external powered speakers.
Bluetooth audio streams backing tracks through the piano's speakers or headphones, and Bluetooth MIDI links to apps such as Piano Every Day, Piano Designer and GarageBand. A USB computer port handles audio and MIDI with a computer, and a USB memory port reads and writes files. Optional KSC-70 stand, KPD-70 three-pedal unit and DP-series damper pedals are available. It comes in black or white.
