The FP-30 is a compact 88-note digital piano built around a SuperNATURAL piano sound engine and a PHA-4 Standard keyboard with escapement and Ivory Feel keys. It offers 128-voice polyphony and 35 tones: 6 piano, 7 electric piano and 22 others such as organ, strings and voices. Keyboard modes include whole, dual, split and Twin Piano, which lets a student and teacher play in the same octave ranges.
Practice and recording tools include a metronome, 8 rhythm patterns, 30 internal songs and a one-part SMF recorder that stores roughly 30,000 notes. A USB flash drive can be used to save recordings and to play back SMF and WAV files. Sound comes from two 12 cm speakers driven by 11 W x 2, with a headphone output for silent practice.
Bluetooth 4.0 carries MIDI and page-turning data to apps on a phone or tablet, and a USB Type B port connects to a computer. Bluetooth may be unavailable depending on the country of purchase. The piano weighs 14.1 kg without music rest and comes in white or black. The optional KSC-70 stand and KPD-70 three-pedal unit are sold separately.
