The F-140R is a stand-mounted digital piano with 88 weighted keys. The PHA-4 Standard keyboard includes escapement and Ivory Feel key surfaces, and the SuperNATURAL Piano engine supplies the main piano sound with up to 128 voices of polyphony. Besides 11 grand piano tones, it carries 305 other tones covering electric pianos, strings, organs, guitars, brass and synths, plus 8 drum sets and 1 SFX set.
Practice and play-along tools include a metronome, a one-part SMF recorder, Twin Piano mode, dual and split keyboard modes, and 72 rhythm styles with two variations each that follow the chords played. Internal songs consist of 69 piano masterpieces, 100 Czerny and 20 Hanon pieces. Two 12 cm speakers are driven by 12 W x 2, and a Headphones 3D Ambience effect is available when playing on headphones. A folding lid covers the keyboard when not in use, and the piano comes in White or Contemporary Black finishes.
For connections it has two headphone jacks, a stereo mini input and output, a USB Computer port (Type B) and a USB Memory port (Type A) for songs and audio playback. Bluetooth 4.0 handles MIDI and page turning in score apps, though it may be unavailable depending on the country of purchase.
