The DJ-202 is a compact controller built around Serato DJ Lite, with Serato DJ Pro as an upgrade path. It has two channels switchable across four decks, large platters tuned for scratching, dedicated play and cue buttons, channel filters, and three FX select buttons per deck. Eight performance pads cover hot cue, loop, sequencer and sampler modes.
For production, the controller carries TR-909, TR-808, TR-707 and TR-606 drum kits modelled with Roland's ACB technology, each with eight sounds. A 16-step sequencer, reached through the pads, drives Serato Sampler's four slots, which have their own volume control. An Inst-Rec mode allows real-time sequencing, and a MIDI output can synchronise external gear.
The mic input is a 1/4-inch jack with gate, low-cut, reverb and echo. Audio runs at 24-bit/48 kHz to RCA master outputs and a 1/4-inch headphone output. The unit connects to a computer by USB type B and takes its power from the USB bus. It has carry handles and weighs 2.1 kg.
