The Aerophone Pro is an electronic wind instrument that uses a saxophone-compatible fingering layout, including a high F# key and four rear octave keys that can be reassigned. Breath and bite sensors drive the sound, and the controls for both hands can be configured to suit the player. A footswitch can be connected to the MIDI control input.
Sounds come from the ZEN-Core engine with SuperNATURAL acoustic modeling. The set covers saxophones, trumpet, duduk and other world instruments, plus vintage and modern synth tones. There are 305 preset scenes, 318 preset tones and 10 drum kits, with room for 600 user scenes and 512 user tones. Up to five-part harmonies and a drone function are available, and effects include multi-effects, chorus, delay and reverb.
For connections it has Bluetooth audio and MIDI, USB-C audio/MIDI, and 5-pin MIDI in and out, plus a stereo output and a headphone jack. A built-in speaker and battery operation allow playing without a power outlet. A separate editor app for iOS and Android handles deeper editing and sound library management, and a carrying bag is supplied.
