The AC-33 is a compact stereo amplifier designed for acoustic guitar. It delivers 15 W + 15 W through two 12 cm speakers when running from the mains adaptor, or 10 W + 10 W on alkaline batteries. It can be powered from the supplied adaptor or from eight AA cells, including rechargeable Ni-MH types, with a removable battery cartridge for quick changes. A tilt-back stand is built in.
Two channels can be mixed separately: Guitar, and Mic/Line. Each has its own volume, EQ and a three-position chorus switch (Off, Space, Wide). The Guitar channel has bass, middle and treble controls, while the Mic/Line channel has bass and treble. A shared reverb/ambience knob, an anti-feedback switch and a master volume complete the panel. A phrase looper records up to 40 seconds of guitar or AUX audio and supports overdubbing.
The Mic/Line channel accepts balanced XLR and 1/4-inch TRS connections. Other connections include stereo AUX input on RCA and mini jacks, line outputs, a headphone jack and two footswitch jacks, one for effects and one for the looper. A version with a rosewood-look cabinet is sold as AC-33-RW.
