Stereo on-camera microphone with two matched 1/2-inch condenser capsules in a stacked X/Y array, for recording ambience, music and other sound on location. It offers both 3.5mm and balanced XLR outputs and runs on a 9V battery or phantom power.

The Stereo VideoMic X is a camera-mounted stereo microphone built around two precision-matched 1/2-inch true-condenser capsules arranged in a stacked X/Y configuration. Each capsule sits in a Rycote Lyre shock mount to reduce handling noise, knocks and vibration, and the body is made of lightweight aluminium so it can sit on top of a camera.
Settings are changed with digital switching. There is a three-stage gain control (-10dB, 0dB, +20dB), a three-stage high-pass filter (flat, 75Hz, 150Hz) and a high-frequency boost that adds detail and clarity. A dome windshield protects the capsules in adverse conditions.
For connection, the microphone has balanced XLR outputs on the side of the body as well as an RF-shielded 3.5mm stereo output cable. It can be powered from a 9V battery or by P48 phantom power. The maker lists it among its legacy products.
