Podcaster

The Podcaster is a dynamic USB microphone built around a dynamic capsule with a tight cardioid polar pattern, which helps reject sound from the surrounding room. It is an end-address design, meaning it is spoken into from the front end of the body.

The capsule sits on an internal shockmount that isolates it from knocks, bumps and keyboard noise, and an internal pop filter reduces plosives. A headphone output on the microphone body provides zero-latency monitoring, so the recorded signal can be heard without delay or echo.

The microphone connects to a computer over USB, with no separate audio interface required. Firmware updaters for Mac and Windows and an ASIO driver are offered as downloads. It carries a 10-year warranty and is listed under the maker's legacy products.
