The MSP 305 is a small two-way converter from RGBlink's MSP micro-converter range. One path takes an HDMI signal with embedded audio and outputs it as SDI, so the source can be carried over long cable distances or shown on SDI monitors. The other path takes an SDI input and outputs HDMI.
It supports HDMI 1.3 and 3G-SDI, with resolutions up to 1080p60. The SDI side runs at a bit rate of 2.970 Gbit/s so the signal is passed on without loss of resolution. The SDI input automatically detects whether the incoming signal is 3G, HD or SD, and audio stays embedded in both directions.
Connections are one HDMI input, one SDI output, one SDI input and one HDMI output. A specification document (EN, V1.1, dated 2023-05-11) is available for download from the maker.
