The MSP 304 is a small converter that takes a single HDMI input and outputs a single SDI signal. It is part of the maker's MSP series of micro converters and works with SMPTE-compliant SDI signals at 3G, HD and SD rates.
On the input side it accepts 720×480@60, 720×576@60, 1280×720@60 and 1920×1080 at 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97, 30, 50, 59.94 and 60. The SDI output covers 480i@60, 576i, 720p at 50, 59.94 and 60, 1080i at 50, 59.94 and 60, and 1080p at 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97, 30, 50, 59.94 and 60. HDCP is supported and audio is embedded into the SDI stream.
An optional pair of mounting ears allows the unit to be fitted onto the MSP rack. A specification document (EN, V1.0, dated 2018-12-26) is available for download.
