The mini-extreme is a compact 4K production switcher built for live events, competitions and conferences. It brings switching, recording, streaming and multiview monitoring into a single unit, and is operated from a 5.5-inch touchscreen that shows icon menus, previews and working status.
It accepts eight video inputs: four HDMI 2.0, two 12G-SDI, UVC and NDI. Up to 15 channels can be mixed for audio. Output is one HDMI 2.0 program feed plus one HDMI 1.3 preview feed. Cut and preview transition modes are available, along with green and blue chroma key and luma key. Several PTZ cameras can be controlled independently for pan/tilt, zoom and focus.
For recording and streaming, a USB 3.0 port records 4K60 at bitrates up to 32 Mbps and can also output UVC 4K to third-party software such as OBS. RTMP and NDI streaming run over the Ethernet port and are managed through TAO Cloud. Third-party control is possible through the free RGBlink Central Control Protocol.
