The DX8 is a card-based backup controller. Input and output signals are provided through plug-in modules, so the unit can be configured for the sources and displays a given installation uses. It is intended as a stable platform for applications such as corporate environments and meeting rooms.
The controller distributes incoming signals and backs up outgoing ones. Input and output signals are adjusted automatically. HDMI 1.3 connections support 12-bit processing and the RGB 4:4:4 colour space, while SDI connections support 10-bit processing and RGB 4:2:2.
The architecture is fully modular, and modules can be hot swapped without powering the unit down. A dual power module arrangement provides backup power, with redundant power supplies available as an option. A brochure, specification sheet and user manual are published for the model, all in English.
