The D8 is a video processor and scaler that handles 8K at 60 Hz. The standard model has one HDMI 2.1 input. The D8 PLUS variant adds a DP 1.4 input beside the HDMI 2.1 one. Both variants can take 8K signals, and the unit can switch between two 8K@60 inputs.
Control is through a built-in 4-inch LCD touch screen on the front panel. The unit also supports XPOSE 2.0 control and an open API. Processing features include 8K EDID management, layer cropping and scaling, and hot swap. Output can use standard resolutions or custom ones.
For multi-screen setups it offers genlock-synchronized unequal splicing with several splicing layouts. A genlock input with loop-through allows it to be locked to an external reference. Firmware, a user manual, a quick start guide, a specification sheet and a brochure are published for the model.
