RMP-3

The RMP-3 is a tabletop player that reads audio CDs, MP3 discs and files from USB sticks or hard drives through its USB 2.0 port. Playback tools include auto cue, frame search, seamless loops with seven selectable bar lengths, four cue point banks, four pitchable 5-second sample banks and a 10-second anti-shock memory. Pitch range is selectable (+/-4, 8, 16 or 100%), with micro pitch down to 0.02% resolution, pitch lock and master tempo.

All 48 control elements send MIDI, and the shift button gives each a second assignment, so one unit can address two virtual decks. Mappings can be stored as MIDI presets, and several RMP-3 units can be linked for MIDI control. The two-part jog wheel is touch-sensitive and works with a scratch simulator that includes return-to-cue. The DSP effect section offers Filter, Skid, Echo, Flanger, Trans, Phase, Pan and Break plus Hold, with time and ratio parameters, a BPM-linked effect and jog wheel modulation.

A bright dot-matrix VFD shows track information including ID3 tags and CD text. The player has a slot-in loading mechanism, digital and headphone outputs, relay play and fader start. The maker lists the product as discontinued.
