The Digital Jockey 2 CE is a USB/MIDI DJ controller laid out like a two-channel mixer combined with two CD-style players. It is tuned for Traktor PRO, and a second MIDI layer reached with the shift buttons doubles the assignment of every command, which allows up to four virtual decks to be handled from the one unit. All 69 MIDI controls are full size and can be freely reassigned.
The mixer section has a crossfader, two line faders, a three-band EQ per channel with Push2Kill knobs, and gain knobs. Each player section has an extra large jog wheel with four modes (Scratch, FX Dry/Wet, Search, Pitch Bend), a 14-bit pitch fader that does not lock at 0%, and four encoders and four buttons for effects and samples. A large Trax encoder with load buttons handles library browsing, and the master section carries cue mix and volume controls. Illumination is single-colour red.
It connects to a computer by USB and can be powered over the USB bus. It works with Mac OS X and Windows XP/Vista, and is plug and play with Virtual DJ from version 7.0.4 Pro. A Kensington security slot is fitted, and Traktor LE and a USB cable are included.
