The Beatmix 4 MK2 is a four-channel controller built around Serato DJ. Each channel has a 3-band EQ and gain control, with line faders and a crossfader. The two 14.4 cm jog wheels have aluminium platters and LEDs that show the virtual needle position in Serato. The transport section includes stutter and sync controls, and the pitch faders are 14-bit with pitch bend buttons.
A rubberised section of 16 colour-coded pads, each 3 cm, handles hot cues, loops and samples. Split mode lets cue and sampler functions run together, and a dedicated fader sets the sampler volume. Two FX units, each with three rotary controls and an endless encoder, control iZotope effects within Serato, and FX quantization can be adjusted.
It connects to a computer over USB and takes its power from the bus, so no power supply is needed. The built-in audio interface has an RCA master output, a mic input with its own volume control, and headphone outputs on 3.5 mm and 6.3 mm jacks. ASIO drivers are provided for Windows, and the unit can be used with other DJ software through MIDI. The maker lists this model as discontinued.
