The RB78 is a hand-built mono moving magnet cartridge intended for playing most 78 rpm records. It sits in a custom body designed specifically for 78 rpm playback and carries a dedicated 78 stylus profile, so it is meant for shellac discs rather than modern microgroove LPs.
The generator uses high-specification parallel-wound coils and produces an output of 6.8 to 7.2 mV. Recommended tracking force is 1.75 g. The body is finished in black.
Mounting is by the standard two-screw fixing, so it fits tonearms and headshells that accept a conventional half-inch cartridge mount. The maker lists the RP78 turntable as a complementary component, and manuals are available in English and French.
