WR-8

The WR-8 holds up to eight 500 series modules and supplies their power. It is a reduced version of the Workhorse rack, leaving out the 8-channel summing mixer. Buyers who do not need summing can use it as a plain module rack, and it can later be upgraded to a full Workhorse with the optional mixer.

The rack is fully compatible with older API-type racks and provides more than 20% more current than the original 500 series specification. Each channel has a 1/4" TRS direct output and an XLR output, so a recorder and a PA system can be fed at the same time.

Typical uses include multi-channel live recording with eight preamps, a stereo channel strip built from paired preamps, EQs and compressors, and reamping or effects setups with other Radial modules. The manufacturer lists this product as discontinued and no longer shipping, with the user guide and a smart sheet still available for owners.
