The Trimode is a pedal with two channels that uses a single 12AX7 tube to generate warmth and harmonics, producing a range of American-voiced distortion tones. A switching arrangement gives access to clean, rhythm and lead sounds from one unit, so a player can move between them without extra pedals.
Post-distortion EQ controls shape the tone after the gain stage. The second channel has an insert loop, which lets the player place other effects pedals in the signal path of that channel. True-bypass switching is used so the guitar signal is left unaffected when the pedal is turned off.
