Tossover
The Tossover is a 500 series module that splits an audio signal into low and high bands so each can be processed separately. It suits engineers who work with parallel processing in a Radial power rack, and it is no longer in production.

The Tossover is a variable frequency divider built in the 500 series format. It separates the incoming signal into two stems, a low band and a high band, so that each can be sent to different processors such as EQ, compression, distortion or modulation effects. The two bands can then be recombined with the dry signal for parallel processing.
The module can be set up as a low-pass, high-pass or band-pass filter, with a choice of 12, 18 or 24dB per octave slopes. Typical uses include adding distortion only to the top end of a vocal, compressing the low end of a bass guitar while flanging the highs, or building a Leslie-style effect from a Hammond keyboard part with different effects on each band.
It fits any Radial power rack, including the Workhorse. The maker lists the product as discontinued and no longer shipping, and keeps the specifications and user information available for existing owners.
