SGI
The Radial SGI is a two-box line driver system for guitar and bass that converts an unbalanced instrument signal to a balanced one and sends it up to 100 m (300 ft) over a standard XLR microphone cable. It suits studio players working from the control room and stage players with remote amps or pedalboards.

The SGI consists of a transmitter (SGI-TX) and a receiver (SGI-RX) linked by an ordinary balanced XLR microphone cable. The guitar plugs into the TX, whose discrete buffered circuit drives the signal over the cable. The RX then converts it back to a suitable impedance for the amplifier, preserving the tone of the instrument and avoiding the noise and high-frequency loss of long unbalanced guitar cables.
A Jensen transformer sits in each unit. Besides breaking ground loops to reduce hum and buzz, the transformers form part of the signal conversion at each end, which the maker links to flatter frequency response, lower noise and distortion, and better dynamic range. The latest revision, marked "Jensen Equipped" on the top panel, accepts 9V to 15V power in either centre-pin polarity, so it can run from a pedalboard supply as well as the included 15V adapter.
Typical uses include playing a guitar amp from the control room, driving off-stage or isolation-cabinet amps, and managing signals between wireless receivers, pedalboards and amps. It can also link a remote pedalboard to the JX44 V2 signal manager without loss or added noise.
