OX8
The OX8 is an eight-channel passive microphone splitter in a rackmount format. It sends each mic signal to three destinations with transformer isolation and ground lifts, for live sound, recording and broadcast work.

The OX8 takes eight balanced microphone signals and feeds each one to up to three destinations at once, such as a front-of-house console, a monitor console and a recorder or broadcast feed. Transformer isolation on the isolated output, together with ground lift switches, is used to remove hum and buzz caused by ground loops.
Each channel has a balanced input, a direct output that also acts as the return path for 48V phantom power, a thru-put with a ground lift switch, and a fully transformer-isolated output. The signal path is kept very short and RF filters are built in to help in noisy environments. Buyers can choose between two versions: one with premium Jensen JT-MB-CPC transformers (OX8-j) and a lower-cost one with Eclipse ET-MS10 transformers (OX8-r).
Being passive, the unit is connected with ordinary balanced microphone cabling. Several units can be combined to cover 16 or more channels. Typical uses include recording a live show while feeding the PA, isolating front-of-house and monitor consoles, and sending a clean feed to a broadcast truck.
