JS2

The JS2 takes a single balanced microphone signal and distributes it to three outputs without active electronics. One output is isolated through a Jensen transformer, which breaks ground loops and removes the hum and buzz they cause between systems. The other two outputs are direct. Ground lifts on the outputs help reduce noise further, and an input pad allows line-level sources to be connected as well.
In live use it can feed front-of-house and monitor consoles from the same microphone, with the isolated path keeping the two desks electrically separate. The main output provides the 48V phantom power return path to the microphone. In the studio it can send one microphone to two preamps so their sound on the same source can be compared, without adding colour or distortion of its own.
The JS2 is a compact unit for portable use on stage or in the studio. It can be rack mounted, with up to eight fitting in the Radial J-Rak, and the maker lists TrainTrack Plus brackets for mounting under a pedalboard and the J-Clamp for fixed installation.
