JPC
Active stereo direct box for connecting laptops, phones, tablets and other consumer playback devices to a PA or mixing console. It combines active buffers with transformer isolation to cut ground-loop hum and buzz, and is aimed at live sound, DJ and AV use.

The JPC is a two-channel analog interface that takes unbalanced stereo signals from computers and other consumer devices and delivers balanced, mic-level outputs to a console or snake. A hybrid circuit pairs active buffers with transformer isolation to block ground loops and reduce system noise, while AC-blocking capacitors stop noise from the audio system feeding back into the computer.
Inputs are offered as 1/4" jacks, RCA connectors and a 3.5 mm (1/8") TRS jack, so it can accept laptops, smartphones, tablets and CD or digital-file playback from DJ setups. Outputs are balanced XLR at mic level.
Power comes from 48V phantom power supplied by the mixing console, so no external power supply is needed in live environments. Isolating the source from the PA also helps remove noisy ground loops in computer, DJ and phone playback scenarios.
