IceCube
A passive balanced XLR line-level isolator that sits between two line-level devices to remove hum and buzz caused by ground loops. It suits AV technicians, live sound engineers and DJs who need a quick, plug-and-play fix.
- Balanced XLR line-level isolator
- Removes hum and buzz caused by ground loops
- Linear response from 20Hz to 18kHz
- Handles pro output levels without distortion
- Ground lift switch for extra noise reduction
- Plug and play XLR input and output

The IceCube places an isolation transformer in the signal path between any two line-level devices, such as a mixer and a powered speaker or a crossover and a power amp. This breaks ground loops that cause hum and buzz, and a ground lift switch gives additional noise reduction when it is needed.
The response is described as linear from 20Hz to 18kHz, with no limit on audio bandwidth and no phase shift added. It handles professional output levels without distortion, so hot signals pass through cleanly.
Connection is by balanced XLR input and output, so it works with standard cables and needs no setup. Typical uses include isolating a DJ mixer from the main PA, separating a crossover from a power amp, and isolating a console from a remote tower where distant power systems introduce noise.
