The unit takes a dynamic microphone and passes it to Output-A, which normally feeds the PA system. Pressing footswitch B or C on its own mutes Output-A and sends the signal to Output-B or Output-C. Both footswitches can be held together to reach both destinations at once. Releasing the footswitches returns the mic to the PA automatically.

Typical uses include talking to the band or technicians without the audience hearing, a cough mute with one output left unconnected, and triggering two separate vocal effects, such as echo and delay, singly or together. Several units can be used on one stage to widen the communication between musicians, techs and engineers.

The design is fully passive, so it needs no external power. Switching is noise-free and the signal path is built to keep the sound of the vocal mic intact. Construction is road-ready. The mic plugs into the input and the three outputs go to the PA and to separate channels on a monitor desk.
