The DiNET DAN-TX2 is a compact endpoint that converts two channels of analog audio to digital at 24-bit/96kHz and transmits them over a Dante or AES67-compliant network. It accepts balanced signals on combination XLR/TRS inputs as well as unbalanced stereo from a 3.5mm aux jack, so it can take feeds from mixers, recorders, audio interfaces, laptops, smartphones and tablets without special software.
Each channel has a trim control and a pad switch, and a link switch lets the Channel 1 controls govern both sides when a stereo source is connected. The balanced inputs handle levels up to +24dBu.
The unit connects through an RJ45 network port that works with Neutrik etherCON connector carriers. It can be powered by Power over Ethernet or by the supplied external power supply, and using both together provides redundant power for critical applications. An optional SA series rack adaptor allows mounting in a 19-inch rack.
