Catapult Mini

The Catapult Mini is a compact, passive multicore alternative that sends four balanced analog audio channels between two locations over standard Cat 5 or Cat 6 Ethernet cable. It uses the cable's conductors directly, with no digital conversion and no power required. The connections are straight-wired from the audio connectors to the RJ45 jack.

It comes in three versions: the TX with female XLRs, the RX with male XLRs and the TRS with 1/4" TRS jacks. A TX and RX pair forms a complete four-channel snake, while the TRS version pairs with the RX to match connectors on rackmount interfaces without adaptor cables. All modules are compatible with the wider Catapult family, such as the TX4 stage box and the RX4 and rack units, including the transformer-isolated TX4M, TX4L, RX4M and RX4L variants.

The unit is small enough to fit in a mixer case and can use cabling already installed in a building. Runs must be direct between two Catapult modules, because a network switch blocks the analog signal.
