Z-C

The Z-C is the centre speaker of the Z Series, QUAD's ribbon loudspeaker line. It uses a two-way, bass-reflex design in a curved piano-lacquered cabinet. A 90 x 12mm true ribbon handles the treble, and the tweeter is built as a sandwich construction intended to give a robust, high-power-capable unit while keeping the delicate character associated with ribbon designs.

Two 150mm woven Kevlar cone drivers cover the midrange and bass, crossing over to the ribbon at 2.7kHz. Sensitivity is 91dB (1W @ 1m), the nominal impedance is 8Ω-compatible with a 4.0Ω minimum, and the recommended amplifier power is 40-200W. Frequency response is 65Hz to 20kHz (±3dB), with bass extension to 60Hz (-6dB). The speaker is not magnetically shielded for AV use.

The cabinet has a volume of 15.5 litres and comes in piano black, piano white or piano rosewood. The speaker is supplied with a stand base, user manual and certificate, and connects to an amplifier or AV receiver through standard speaker terminals.
