Compact valve integrated amplifier with a built-in hi-res DAC, seven valves and 2 x 15 W output. It suits desktop or shelf listening from phones, computers and hi-fi sources, and also takes analogue sources.

The VA-One is a small integrated amplifier with a footprint of 18 x 33 cm. It combines a valve preamp stage and valve push-pull power stage with a digital-to-analogue converter. The preamp uses an ECC83 triode feeding an ECC82 driver and phase splitter. The output stage has two EL84 pentodes per channel, giving 2 x 15 W RMS into 6 Ω.
The front panel has a motorised volume control that is operated from the supplied remote. It also carries input selection, Bluetooth pairing controls and a headphone output. The casing is finished in Lancaster Grey.
Digital inputs are optical, coaxial and asynchronous USB, supporting data up to 24-bit/192 kHz. An RCA input takes an analogue source such as a CD player, or a turntable through a suitable phono stage. Bluetooth pairing for phones, tablets and computers supports the aptX codec. Speakers are connected to the speaker terminal; S Series loudspeakers are sold separately.
