The Q Install LCR 65RP is an in-wall speaker built for left, centre or right channel duty in home theatre systems. It uses two 6.5-inch low-frequency drivers with mass-damped polypropylene cones and high-powered coil and magnet assemblies, paired with a 1-inch silk dome tweeter protected by a mesh.
The tweeter swivels so the high-frequency direction can be adjusted, and a switchable high-frequency level setting allows further tuning to the room. High-order crossovers are used for a smooth transition between drivers, with the mid-range tuned to keep speech clear. The unit needs only a shallow mounting depth of 85 mm, and the low-profile grille attaches magnetically.
It is a passive speaker with a nominal 8 ohm impedance and 15-100 W program power handling, so it needs an A/V receiver or power amplifier. It belongs to the Q Install in-wall range, which also includes 8-inch and 6.5-inch two-way units and a passive 8-inch subwoofer for extra bass.
