The Concept Centre is a 2-way reflex centre speaker with two 100mm bass drivers and a 25mm tweeter. It is the centre channel of the maker's Concept Cinema System. The cabinet is lacquered and has a magnetic grille.
The cabinet uses a layered construction in which two sheets of MDF are bonded with a non-setting damping adhesive. The adhesive turns vibration energy into heat, which lowers cabinet resonance and distortion. The speaker has a nominal impedance of 6 ohms and a sensitivity of 88dB, so most good-quality amplifiers can drive it.
A foam bung can be fitted in the rear reflex port to adjust the bass response when the speaker sits against a rear wall or inside AV furniture. It can also be wall mounted on a separate glass centre shelf from the same maker. It connects to an amplifier or AV receiver through speaker cable, and it is sold singly in gloss black or gloss white.
