The 3060S is a slimline active subwoofer built around a 200 mm (8 in) bass driver in an infinite baffle enclosure, driven by an internal 150 W Class D amplifier. Its frequency response is stated as 35–250 Hz (+3 dB, -6 dB), and the crossover is variable across the same 35–250 Hz range. The cabinet is only 150 mm deep and has an effective volume of 10.6 L.
The controls and connections sit behind a magnetic hatch, with a down-facing port for cable runs so the wiring stays out of sight. The sub can stand on rubber feet or on the supplied spikes, and it can be wall-mounted with an optional dedicated bracket. It comes in Graphite Grey, English Walnut and Carbon Black, with a chrome bezel around the driver and a magnetic grille.
It is designed to match the rest of the 3000i range, including the 5.1 home cinema packages. It can also be added to an existing home cinema setup that needs more bass. The box includes four spikes, a mains cable and a user manual.
