The Speaker Box 5 E Carbon is a passive two-way bookshelf speaker. A 1-inch silk dome tweeter handles the highs, and a 5-inch bass/mid driver with a fibre glass carbon composite cone covers the rest. Both sit in a stiff, non-resonating MDF cabinet that is vented through a rear-firing bass reflex port. Frequency response is stated as 65 Hz to 20 kHz.
Nominal impedance is 4 ohms and sensitivity is 86 dB (1 W / 1 m). The recommended amplifier power is 10 to 150 watts, and an amplifier delivering at least 10 W per channel is advised. The Stereo Box S3 BT and MaiA S3 are named as suitable partners. Each speaker measures 270 x 165 x 220 mm (HxWxD) and weighs 4.76 kg.
Connection is through gold plated banana terminals. Magnetic grills in black are supplied in the box, and the speaker comes in several finishes. A wall mount is available but sold separately.
