The StudioLive SE 24R packs 40 mixing channels into a 19-inch rack unit that is 3.5 inches (90 mm) tall. It has 24 onboard XMAX-R recallable preamps, 16 FlexMixes that can be set as aux, subgroup or matrix mixes, 4 dedicated subgroups, 4 FX mixes with stereo returns and 24 DCA groups. Internal processing is 32-bit floating point, and the stated total system latency is 1.9 ms for local analog-in to analog-out routing.
For recording, the mixer has a bidirectional 64x64 USB 2.0 interface and a stereo SD recorder that writes WAV files at 44.1 or 48 kHz. It works with Capture software and Virtual Soundcheck. Each channel can switch its source between analog, USB, SD and AVB. The mixer can run standalone, as a monitor mixer or as a stagebox.
The mixer connects over Milan-certified AVB networking to StudioLive Series III consoles and stageboxes. Universal Control provides remote mixing and an Offline Editor, and QMix-UC gives performers personal monitor mixes from their own devices. A perpetual license for Fender Studio Pro is included, with direct preamp control and Fat Channel XT processing.
