The StudioLive 16.0.2 USB is a rackmountable digital console with 16 channel inputs: 12 with XMAX mic preamps, and 4 of the 16 being stereo channels. Each channel and bus has a Fat Channel section with a compressor, limiter, downward expander and 3-band semi-parametric EQ. The main bus adds a stereo 31-band graphic EQ, and two delay/reverb effects processors each have a dedicated mix bus. It also has 4 aux buses with pre/post-fader sends. The layout is meant to feel like an analog desk, with 60 mm faders and dedicated metering, and it allows scene and setting recall.
An 18-in/16-out USB 2.0 interface records every channel plus the main L/R mix at 24-bit/44.1 or 48 kHz. It works with Capture live-recording software, and Capture sessions open directly in Fender Studio Pro. MIDI I/O can control main and effects output levels, recall effects presets and Scenes, and act as a general MIDI interface.
Registering the hardware gives a perpetual Fender Studio Pro licence. The package also includes Universal Control mixer software for Mac, Windows and iPad, and Capture. The free QMix-UC app provides wireless aux control from iPhone, iPod touch and Android devices.
